Job Description

A vacancy for an SAP EWM Logistics Information Systems Business Analyst (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join the Supply Chain & Logistics Department.

What you will be doing:

You will be part of the Supply Chain & Logistics department which has a leading role in improvements and harmonization projects in logistics systems and tools in Manching. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that works close to Supply Chain and Logistics business.

As an SAP EWM Logistics Information Systems Business Analyst (d/f/m) you will be involved in Identifying and proposing Logistic improvements measures align with business requirements.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Leading improvements and harmonization projects in Logistics systems and tools
  • Being close to Supply Chain and Logistics business identifying current weak points in system landscape and way of working.
  • Identifying and proposing as business partner improvements measures align with business requirements.
  • Providing specialist advice where appropriate for the Scoping, Development, Deployment/Implementation, Change Management, Application Maintenance & Evolution of relevant Logistics Information Systems.
  • Keep a continuous alignment with the Information Systems of all the divisions to ensure the correct support to Logistics and Supply Chain.
  • Foster harmonization in IS for Logistics and Supply Chain in overall Airbus Defence and Space.
  • Lead the change management activities after the deployment of any new tool.
  • Work with Business stakeholders to identify the business requirements and the expected outcome.
  • Works in iterative processes with the Business and validates findings.
  • Communicates and works with business subject matter experts.
  • Demonstrates the following scientist qualities: clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, logic, significance, and fairness.
  • Provides on-going tracking and monitoring of performance decision systems and statistical models.
  • Troubleshoots and implements enhancements and fixes to systems as needed.

This role will involve minor travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

About you:

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience as a functional analyst or business analyst with SAP EWM domain expertise;
  • Extensive SAP EWM implementations experience focused on the delivery of SAP EWM, SAP MM, SAP WM modules or other logistic tools;
  • Knowledge of integration between SAP modules including capabilities, limitations & best practices;
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Handling Unit Management, Bin and Storage locations, Movement types, Picking and Put away strategies,
  • Previous experience with SAP data exchanges in a logistics environment;
  • Has performed data migration activities;
  • Demonstrated ability to translate detailed functional specifications into clearly documented technical specifications;
  • Formal education (University or college) in one of the following disciplines: computer science, engineering or management information systems;
  • Project management skills, Agile/Scrum Methodology is a plus;
  • SAP certification is a definite asset;
  • Practical experience in ABAP programming;
  • Excellent communication skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving;
  • Negotiation level of German and English.
